The El Camino Healthcare District today announced it has received the District Transparency Certificate of Excellence by the Special District Leadership Foundation (SDLF) in recognition of its outstanding efforts to promote transparency and good governance.
The El Camino Healthcare District Board of Directors has approved funding to support local health initiatives in El Camino Healthcare District cities for fiscal year 2023 through its Community Benefit program.
El Camino Healthcare District offers grants and sponsorships to organizations that address specific health needs in our community.
Each year, El Camino Healthcare District commits resources for community health promotion and disease prevention, particularly to support community members when they experience vulnerability and health challenges. Through our Community Benefit Program, grants and sponsorships are awarded to programs that meet specific health needs and serve individuals who live, work, or go to school in the District.
The El Camino Healthcare District uses information from the most recent 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to inform the Community Benefit grant-making process, which is described in the District's annual Implementation Strategy Report and Community Benefit Plan. The CHNA is conducted by El Camino Health every three years in collaboration with other local health systems.
